Mexico States Map Quiz
A free map quiz for Mexico’s 31 states plus Mexico City. The quiz names a state and students tap it on the map, or in Hard mode they type every state they can remember while the map fills in.
It works for geography and Spanish classes from middle school up. Accents don’t matter when typing, so Yucatan and Yucatán both count.
How to use it in class
- Pick a mode. Classic names a state and students tap it. Hard asks them to type every state they know. Explore has no score – tap any state to see its name.
- Put it on the board. Tap the fullscreen button and zoom into central Mexico, where the states are smallest. Mexico City and Tlaxcala have dots to tap.
- Play Classic. Each state turns green on the first try, yellow on the second and orange on the third. After three misses it flashes red and has to be tapped before moving on.
- Try Hard mode. Each state fills in as soon as it’s spelled correctly. After a minute, spelling help appears once the first four letters are right.
- Review and share. At the end, “Review map” shows every state in its result color, and “Challenge a friend” makes a link with the score to beat.
