Classroom Noise Meter
Help your class manage their volume. The meter shows how loud the room is right now, the face changes as it gets louder, and the screen flashes when it crosses your too-loud line.
How to play
- Start listening – tap Start and allow the microphone when your browser asks.
- Set the line – drag “Too-loud line” to the level you want, and adjust sensitivity for your room.
- Optional beep – turn on “Beep when too loud” for an audio reminder.
Frequently asked questions
Does the noise meter record my class?
No. It only measures the volume level in your browser. No audio is recorded, saved or sent anywhere.
Why does it need the microphone?
The microphone is how it hears how loud the room is.
The meter is always high or always low – what do I do?
Move the sensitivity slider until normal working noise sits in the green.
