Coordinate Plane Game
A free game for learning the coordinate plane. In “Plot the point” students tap where a point like (4, 7) goes on the grid; in “Name the point” they choose the coordinates of a dot.
Start in the first quadrant (0 to 10), then move on to all four quadrants with negative numbers.
How to use it in class
- Pick a mode. Plot the point, or name the point.
- Pick the grid. First quadrant, or all four quadrants.
- Plot it. Tap the grid – the point snaps to the nearest corner – then tap Check.
- Learn from mistakes. A wrong answer shows where you tapped and the right point in green.
Classroom ideas
Along the corridor
Remind students: x first, “along the corridor, then up the stairs”.
Swap test

Treasure map
Have students write coordinates for a partner to plot.
