Classroom Jobs Chart

A free classroom jobs board that does the rotating for you. Add your class once, then hand out jobs like line leader, materials manager and messenger in one tap – and move everyone on to a new job each week.

It suits elementary classrooms especially, and works for any class that shares responsibilities. Jobs and names are saved on your device for each class.

How to use it in class

  1. Add your class. Type or paste names into “Add students”. Lists you made in the Name Picker, Group Maker or Seating Chart are already here.
  2. Choose your jobs. Start with the standard 12 jobs, rename any by typing on the card, remove the ones you don’t use, or add your own.
  3. Hand them out. Tap Shuffle to give jobs at random to students who are here today, or pick a student for any job from its dropdown.
  4. Rotate each week. Tap “Rotate jobs” and each job passes to the next student in your class list, so jobs go round the whole class over time.
  5. Show or print. Leave the chart on the board, or tap Print for a clean copy to post on the wall.

Classroom ideas

Monday job switch

Make rotating jobs part of Monday morning. Students check the board to find their new job for the week.

Job applications

Older students can “apply” for a job by writing why they’d be good at it, then you assign jobs from the dropdowns.

Absent cover

If a student with a job is absent, their name is crossed out so you can quickly choose a stand-in from the dropdown.

Frequently asked questions

How does “Rotate jobs” work?

Each job passes to the next name in your class list, so over the weeks everyone gets a turn at different jobs.

What if I have more jobs than students?

Shuffle fills as many jobs as there are students and leaves the rest empty. Remove a job or add students to fill them.

Is it saved for each class?

Yes. Each class keeps its own job assignments on this device, and your job names are remembered too.

Are student names uploaded?

No. Names are saved only in your browser on this device.
