Dice Roller & Random Number Generator

A free set of classroom randomizers in one place: roll up to six big dice, pick a random number in any range, or flip a coin. The dice are large enough to read from the back of the room, and every result is completely random.

Teachers use it for math games, board-game style review, choosing page or question numbers, and settling who goes first – in any grade.

How to use it in class

  1. Choose a tool. Tap Dice, Number or Coin at the top.
  2. Roll dice. Pick how many dice (1 to 6) and how many sides – d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 or d20 – then tap Roll. With more than one die, the total is shown too.
  3. Pick a number. Set the range, for example 1 to 30, and tap “Pick a number”. Turn on “No repeats” so each number comes up only once until you tap “Start over”.
  4. Flip a coin. Tap Flip for heads or tails. A running tally shows how many of each.
  5. Put it on the board. Use fullscreen, and press the space bar to roll, pick or flip without reaching for the mouse.

Classroom ideas

Math facts with dice

Roll two dice and have students add, subtract or multiply the numbers. Switch to d10 or d12 for bigger facts.

Random question numbers

Number your review questions and pick with “No repeats” on, so every question is used once.

Probability experiments

Flip the coin or roll a die 20 times as a class, record the results, and compare them with what students predicted.

Frequently asked questions

Are the dice really random?

Yes. Results come from your browser’s secure random number generator, so every face and number is equally likely.

How many dice can I roll at once?

From 1 to 6 dice, each with 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 20 sides.

What does “No repeats” do?

Each number in your range is picked only once. When they have all been used, tap “Start over”.

Does it remember my settings?

Yes. Your dice, number range and “No repeats” choice are saved on this device.
