Digital Hall Pass
A free digital hall pass for your classroom. Students tap their name and where they’re going, and a big pass card shows on the board with a running timer – it turns yellow, then red, if they’re out too long. When they come back, one tap signs them in.
Everything is saved on your own device: no accounts, no student data sent anywhere. A log of today’s passes can be downloaded as a spreadsheet file.
How to use it in class
- Add your class. Type or paste your class list in the box on the right (it’s shared with the other tools on this site).
- Set the rules. Choose how many students can be out at once and after how many minutes the pass turns yellow.
- Students sign out. A student taps their name and a destination – restroom, water, nurse, office and so on. You can edit the list.
- Sign back in. They tap “I’m back” on their pass. The trip goes into today’s log, which you can download as a CSV file.
